Carbon Offsetting is achieved through involvement in projects such as planting trees, creating wind farms or investing in renewable energy projects. For example, if a website consumes electricity that produces half a ton of CO2 per year, then the company with which we and our hosting company are registered, COCO2.org, plant trees that offset that effect by taking half a ton of CO2 out of the atmosphere.
